Jivamukti Yoga is a style of yoga created by David Life and Sharon Gannon in 1984. It was a radical departure from the Western notion that yoga is just exercise and stretching. My teachers reintegrated the physical, spiritual and philosophical aspects of yoga into a method relevant to today’s Western practitioners. In my Jivamukti classes, I guide students through freestyle vinyasa flow sequences which emphasize alignment and breathing. I provide hands-on adjustments to support students in reaching their fullest expression of poses. I devote all my efforts to all beings everywhere and encourage my students to do the same. This practice suitable for students of all levels, as long as you’re prepared to sweat and work hard.
